Health professionals play an important role in preventing, treating and curing disease and in promoting health at the individual and societal levels. It is essential to ensure that those who train healthcare professionals create effective educational programs that result in high quality health services.
MHPE is a two-year distanced-based program with two campus-based periods of three weeks in Maastricht.
This programme teaches you the knowledge and skills you need to pursue a career in innovative health professions education and research.
The modular curriculum covers learning and instruction methods, curriculum development and assessment. It is primarily distance-based: you spend a maximum of three short periods in Maastricht. Since the programme began in 1992, more than 500 Maastricht MHPE alumni have become leaders of innovation in medical and health sciences education. This is a two-year part-time programme taught in English.
